Hello everyone,
I use my Haven XL tent for about three to four weeks a year during my motorcycle holiday. The tent sleeps just like sleeping in your own bed at home. Super comfortable. Unfortunately, my tent tore at the seams during the second week of my holiday. I had to look for another tent. Eventually, after waiting quite a while for a reply to the email I sent to your customer service, I received a response.
According to the representative, a tent should never tear at the seams. A new tent would be sent.
I don't know if this will actually happen. I'll just wait and see.
I recommend the Haven XL tent to everyone.

I have been looking at this tent for over 3 years. I love the idea of hammock camping and have tried gathered end hammocks in the past, but could never get comfortable as a side sleeper; even lying diagonally.
A friend recently purchased 3 of these for his family and loved it. I decided to revisit this tent.
I had some questions and was able to get in touch with a real person very easily (thanks Tyler).
Everything arrived as and when promised. Fit and finish are great. I use this with a Kammock Outpost stand it they pair together great.
I got the Safari version and it is really comfortable.
Now I am a big fan of Haven.

Absolutely amazing hammock tent, my husband loves it and sleeps so comfortably when camping. The company and owners themselves are fantastic people and so easy to work with.
Took a month long motorcycle trip from Alabama to Washington and back. Got to set up my Haven XL in some pretty fantastic places. It is by far the most comfortable sleep system I have experienced and I have tried multiple setups. Easy and quick set up. Highly recommend.
Very comfortable! Have only used it overnight once so far but want wait to use it more. Always struggled to sleep in traditional hammocks and this solves that issue for me perfectly.
Mine came with one cosmetic issue, no real impact to function. One of the interior elastic straps across the bottom is twisted, and since they are permanently attached it would have to be cut and stitched/glued back on to straighten it. But as I said just a cosmetic issue, no real impact to function.
The main things on my list for potential improvements would be: including a longer strap set by default for more versatility, and a few more small carabiners to use for hanging gear or quick detach guyline setups would be handy.
Overall have to say I love this and am looking forward to many trips in the future. Would recommend to anyone who is interested.
The best night of sleeping I’ve ever got camping. This hammock has exceeded my expectations every time I’ve been. I’ve been in it. with some pretty strong winds and heavy downpour it kept me high and dry.
This is my third year with this hammock. I’ve used it in the summer and winter hunting trips. It has been excellent.
A group of friends and I spend a week in Killarney Park in Ontario Canada every year. Two of us have upgraded the normal hammocks to Haven. One spectre and for me the safari. I had an eno split on me a couple years ago so the heavy weight option was attractive.
I’ve not had a better and more comfortable trailside sleep since I was too young to care of think about.
I’m all in for the Haven Tents. Now that they are making the upgraded larger rain fly I think I’m going to buy that too.
The tent arrived today. I found that I could not set it up because the spreader bar pocket was sewn shut. The customer service seems to be nonexistent right now. This is a substantial amount of money to pay for an item you can’t even use. I bought several items from them, hoping to use them soon. Hopefully they will make things right. EDIT: Looks like they are making things right.
I've used the Haven for 2 years now. It is a game changer! Love it! As you see, I use it for motorcycle rides. Just got back from a week on the road and in the Haven, slept great through a rough storm last night! If you're wondering about whether to get one or not... I've got 2 words for you... do it.
I have owned the Specter for about a year now and love that it is so light as I am pretty exclusively a backpacker. I love all of my Haven Tents as I own almost all iterations. As other reviewers have mentioned the Specter does not really breathe at all. Which was great in Maine when it was cold and rainy but not so great in Havasupai’s warm dry conditions. I do really appreciate being able to see through the fabric but I believe the mesh of the other versions is preferable for air flow. I cannot say how much I appreciate how lightweight it is. My hammock set up has consistently been a couple pounds heavier than my lightweight tent companions set up for a few years now. With the specter we all have the same weight tent and sleeping pad combo. The mesh pockets that you run the poles through are a complete bust in my opinion. If you are trying to set up in a hurry trying to get the poles through the loops is a time consuming hassle. I believe a single long channel would be a huge convenience and worth the small amount of extra weight. I would also take the extra oz of a lightweight ground cover made to the size of the hammock. I did order one online and add loops to it ( it was a bit too long) but an exact match would work much better. I enjoyed having the one I purchased as it added a layer of warmth in Maine when the hammock was elevated and protected the bottom when I had to set up in bivy mode and when there were bushes or shrubs I had to hang my hammock above. I also struggle some with the rain fly. I like the ease of being able to set up the fly before setting up the hammock that the other haven hammocks offer. Quick cover from rain or bright hot sun light. Trying to do it with the one provided for the specter is a bit fiddly and annoying. If there is an easier way I’d love an instructional video. The new fly seems like that may be an easier option but I have not checked out its weight. Last but not least, I’d love if this came in the standard smaller size. I’ve found that the larger longer hammocks move around a lot more for someone my size when I am inside trying to turn over or change clothes. For reference, Im 5’6” and 135lbs ( not that I don’t love the extra space provided by the wider longer versions for my pack or dogs). In conclusion, I would 1000% buy another haven hammock!! Still the best night’s sleep on the trail.
Trip #3 still loving the Safari! Seems to get better each time. Really like the storage nets inside and the ridge light is great. The battery from the air pump seems to power the ridge light forever. Used the ridge light like a lantern right in the translucent storage bag this time. Trying different set-ups now with the extra rain fly. This was a great purchase!
Ever since my first review for the Haven Safari, I felt the fly was to small. I tried using the Spectre Fly on the Safari and they are not compatible. WIth that said, the new Haven Camp Fly is perfect. It solves the issue that many have been searching for. Thank you, Haven Tents. Well done.

The tarp looks nice but it is to small for my use. The included strings and tent plugs are of very poor quality.
There are plenty of other cheaper, bigger and nicer tarp options on the market.
I love the Haven Tent XL, but I don’t think this tarp is worth the money at all.
Am slowly starting to get used to my Haven XL. Finding the right trees + distance + clear ground sometimes takes as much time as installing the tent... And by no means do I inflate the mattress in 'around 15 times' as in the explanatory Youtube-movies. But all of this is a matter of experience I guess. It packs quickly and small, and fits nicely in my motorbike side-case.
Will be using it more the coming weeks, in France, UK and Schotland.
Such a great little set up
I was able to use it in every mode: open air, full storm cover, which was also good for keeping warm. Very fun to camp in. I can’t wait to use it again.
The camp fly offers an area to escape from the rain and still be able to move freely while staying dry. And for the heavier storms you can really bunker down to wait out the storm.
I received the new tarp a couple weeks ago and set it up in the back yard. I noticed it was missing 4 snap buttons. I wrote and received an email saying you folks are busier than normal and still waiting to get a resolution response.
This is a very nice rig. The pump is fast and the mattress comfortable. The rain fly kept me very dry in a white mountain downpour. I was very surprised how dry I stayed as the rain was hammering down . This is top notch gear...

Die Qualität und das Packmass, machen es zu einem idealen Begleiter für mich auf meine Touren auf dem Trans Euro Trail (TET) durch Skandinavien.
