Warranty Policy

We stand behind every tent, pad, and accessory we make. All Haven products are covered by a limited one-year warranty against defects in materials and workmanship. If something fails because of us, we’ll repair or replace it.

What’s covered

  • Manufacturing defects in materials or workmanship
  • Failures that occur under proper, intended use
  • Damage that is not caused by normal wear and tear

Depending on the issue, we may replace the entire product or just the affected part/section. If your exact model is no longer available, we’ll provide the closest comparable product.

What’s not covered

  • Normal wear and tear (scuffs, scratches, fading, zipper wear, mesh snags, pad compression, etc.)
  • Improper use or care (setting up over sharp rocks, exceeding weight limits, neglecting to dry gear before storage, pet damage, chemical/heat damage, etc.)
  • Modifications or non-factory repairs
  • Cosmetic damage or parts lost in use
  • Loss or theft
  • Items returned dirty or wet — please clean and dry your gear before sending it in

How to make a warranty claim

  1. Start a claim — Visit our Returns & Warranty Portal and log in. Once logged in, select “Start a Warranty Claim” and follow the prompts. If you purchased from somewhere other than haventents.com, you may need to register your product first.
  2. Provide details — Include your order number, product information, and clear photos or a short video of the issue.
  3. Pack it clean and dry — We can’t evaluate muddy, sandy, or wet gear.
  4. Ship it to us — We’ll send you a prepaid return shipping label. Once received, our team will inspect your gear.
  5. Resolution — If your claim is covered, we’ll repair or replace the product and cover shipping back to you. If it’s not warranty-eligible, we’ll offer fair repair or replacement options at a service fee.

The Nitty-Gritty

Return Deductions and Fees

If you return a tent without all the components it originally shipped with, a $2 deduction per missing item will be applied. This applies to individual items, not sets.

Standard component deductions:

  • Spreader Bars (x2) — $2 each
  • Carabiners (x2) — $2 each
  • Tree Straps (x2) — $2 each
  • Guylines (x4) — $2 each
  • Stakes (x4) — $2 each

If you forgot to include something in your return, you’ll need to either accept the deduction or ship the missing item(s) back at your own expense. Please package the items securely and include a note with your name, order number, and reason for return so our team knows how to process it.

Condition of Returned Items

  • Campfire odor: Tents returned with an obvious campfire smell will incur a $30 deduction.

    Pads with an obvious campfire smell will incur a $20 deduction.
  • Damaged gear: If your tent, pad, or accessories are returned damaged (outside of a manufacturing defect), your return will be voided and the product(s) will be sent back to you. We cannot accept returns of damaged items.
  • Clean & dry: All gear must be free of dirt, debris, and moisture.

Processing Timeline

We aim to process all returns within 15 days of receipt at our warehouse. If 15 days pass from the time we receive your return (as confirmed by your tracking number), you will automatically be refunded the full amount (less any applicable return shipping fees and deductions) and your return will be closed.
