This is what Madyson Pomeroy, a wife and mother of a little girl, was being told when she talked about getting outside with her family. Can you relate? We've taken the liberty to share her experience with the Haven Tent here on our Journal, in her own words.

I guess the best place to start is probably an introduction because I am not sure this story will make sense without it!

So, let’s dive into that, shall we?!

HI! THIS IS US – THE CLARK FAMILY!
MADYSON (ME), DAN, AND EDEN WILLOW.

The three of us are truly best buds, and It has been no secret that adventure is kinda our thing. Ever since Eden was born, we have really tried to make experiencing the outdoors part of our everyday life. You see, while we were pregnant with her, we had a lot of naysayers in our corner.

They were constantly telling us that we would have to give up what we loved most, the outdoors as we knew it, in order to create a good life for our baby.

Little did they know that we had big plans for the three of us.
We were fixing to take the outdoors by storm.

From hiking to camping to backpacking to climbing to snowshoeing to snowboarding. No matter what it was, we were ready to experience it together…

… As a family – even if we had a baby!

HERE’S WHERE THINGS GOT A LITTLE TRICKY

Dan and I are two peas in a pod and both value the outdoors and adventures. That, my friends, has been really great in a lot of ways. Seriously — I don’t think that I could be with someone who didn’t thrive in nature!

But, I would be lying if I said that we always see eye to eye.

Dan is the type of guy that loves nothing more than hiking a bajillion miles deep in bear country with nothing but the essentials. One of which is a can of chicken noodle soup.

Do you mean to tell me that you are risking getting eaten by a bear just to chow down on some mushy noodles?

NO.

THANK.

YOU.

I would much rather curl up in a hammock with ALL of my favorite snacks and read whatever book that I have by dying to get my imagination on. All while my little sidekick, Eden, runs around throwing rocks into the river and collecting bugs in her Tonka™ dump truck.

What can I say? I’m a sucker for the little things.

WHY I THINK THAT HAVEN TENTS ARE THE MOST INCLUSIVE OUTDOOR PRODUCTS OF THE 21st CENTURY

When you think of an “outdoorsman” I am pretty sure that I know exactly what comes to mind. Honestly, chances are, you are picturing someone who enjoys experiencing the outdoors in the same ways that Dan does.
