Haven Tent + Zenbivy Bed: the most comfortable way to sleep outside

A flat, lay-flat hammock tent underneath you and a draft-free bed on top. The Zenbivy Bed wraps around your Haven pad like a fitted sheet, with a quilt that moves when you do, so you can sleep on your back, side or stomach all night.

Does the Zenbivy Bed fit the Haven Tent?

Yes. Zenbivy Beds are sized by pad width, and two sizes cover every Haven: a Large (25") Zenbivy fits the 24-inch Haven Tent pad, and an XL (30") Zenbivy fits the 30-inch pads in the Haven XL, Haven Safari and Haven Spectre. That holds for both standard and insulated pads. The Zenbivy sheet wraps the pad and the quilt clips to it, so nothing slides off the pad overnight. See the full sizing guide.

How it works

A bed, not a mummy bag

Zenbivy's patented two-piece system splits a sleeping bag into a sheet and a quilt, the same way your bed at home works. On a Haven, that means a flat surface and a warm, unrestricted top layer.

  1. Made for the Haven pad

The Zenbivy sheet wraps snugly around Haven's insulated pad, so your bed and your tent work as one system instead of a bag sliding around on a mattress.

  2. Built-in draft shield

The sheet has a draft shield along your sides and shoulders. Clip the quilt to it and cold air stays out, all season and all night.

  3. A quilt that floats

The quilt sits over you rather than around you. Roll onto your side or stomach and it moves with you, the same freedom the Haven's flat lay gives you underneath.

  4. Hinges keep it in place

The sides of the draft shield work as hinges: the quilt can lift and settle as you move, but it won't fall off the pad, and the corners guide into the hood to seal in warmth at your neck.

Sizing guide

Which Zenbivy fits your Haven?

Match the Zenbivy to your pad width, not your height. The 24-inch Haven Tent pad takes a Large; every 30-inch Haven pad takes an XL. This applies to standard and insulated pads alike.

Haven model Pad size Zenbivy size
Haven Tent 24 × 78 in Large (25")
Haven XL 30 × 80 in XL (30")
Haven Safari 30 × 80 in XL (30")
Haven Spectre 30 × 80 in XL (30")

FAQ

Haven + Zenbivy questions

Which Zenbivy size fits my Haven?

Choose a Large (25") Zenbivy for the Haven Tent, which uses a 24 × 78 in pad. Choose an XL (30") Zenbivy for the Haven XL, Haven Safari and Haven Spectre, which use 30 × 80 in pads. The fit is the same for standard and insulated pads.

Can I sleep on my side or stomach with this setup?

Yes. The Haven's lay-flat design keeps your body flat rather than curved like a traditional hammock, and the Zenbivy quilt floats over you instead of zipping you in, so you can sleep on your back, side or stomach and roll over during the night.

Do I still need an underquilt?

No. Haven's insulated pads handle insulation underneath you: the True Level XL pad is R5.3 and the Premium pad is R5. For colder trips, the Insulated Pad Cover adds targeted insulation under your core and roughly doubles the pad's warmth.

Light Bed, Core ZipBed or Overland ZipBed: which should I get?

The Light Bed is the lightest, starting at 1 lb 13 oz, and suits backpacking. The Core ZipBed adds zippers and 650-fill down in 25°F or 10°F ratings for three-season trips. The Overland ZipBed is the softest and roomiest, made for car camping, overlanding and a Haven Safari on a stand or vehicle mount.

Who ships Zenbivy orders, and how do returns work?

Zenbivy products bought on haventents.com are shipped directly by Zenbivy, usually within about 3 business days. If you order one with a tent, they arrive separately. Zenbivy's shipping, return and warranty policies apply, but you can start a return through Haven's returns portal.

Why doesn't Haven make its own sleeping bag?

We looked, and couldn't find a way to improve on what Zenbivy already does. It's the sleep system our own team uses in their Havens, so we partnered with Zenbivy to sell it here and make the pairing simple.

Why Zenbivy

Haven fixes what's under you: a flat, insulated bed off the ground. Zenbivy fixes what's on top of you: warmth without the mummy-bag squeeze. Together they're the setup our whole team sleeps in.
