  1. Add Checkout+ in your cart

It adds Free Returns + Package Protection for a small fee, so sending it back costs you nothing and your order is covered in transit.

  2. Try it for up to 60 days

Hang it, lie in it, sleep in it. You have 60 days from delivery to decide.

  3. Not the one? Send it back

Start a return in our portal with your order number and zip code. We send you a return label, and your refund is processed within 15 days of it reaching us.

Keep it returnable

For a full refund, send it back with no obvious wear, campfire smoke or pet hair, and pack every part (missing parts are $2 each).

Want a different size? Swap it with an Instant Exchange: we ship the new one right away, and you return the original within 28 days.

Without Checkout+ you can still return within 60 days, but the return label cost comes out of your refund. Seconds and final-sale items can't be returned. Full return policy

The FIRST CAST Travel Fly Rod is built for anglers who want to fish anywhere, anytime. With its telescopic, internally lined design, this rod sets up in just 30 seconds—always rigged and ready so you can tie on a fly and start casting without delay.

This 9ft, 4wt model packs down to just 19 inches, making it ideal for trout fishing and most freshwater adventures. Lightweight, compact, and versatile, it fits easily in your pack, glove box, or even your desk drawer—ready whenever the water calls.

Each rod comes fully assembled (just add your fly) and includes a reel with swappable left/right hand retrieve. Thoughtfully designed, the FIRST CAST blends the simplicity of tenkara with the performance of traditional fly rods, giving you a smooth, quick, and fun experience from the very first cast.

About Reyr Gear
This product comes from Reyr Gear, Haven’s sister brand. Like Haven Tents, Reyr is driven by the mission to make outdoor experiences more accessible and enjoyable. Just as Haven reimagines how we sleep outside, Reyr reimagines how we fish—removing barriers so you can focus on the adventure, not the setup.

Because when inspiration strikes, the first cast—or the first night under the stars—should only be seconds away.
