Haven Safari

I have been looking at this tent for over 3 years. I love the idea of hammock camping and have tried gathered end hammocks in the past, but could never get comfortable as a side sleeper; even lying diagonally. A friend recently purchased 3 of these for his family and loved it. I decided to revisit this tent. I had some questions and was able to get in touch with a real person very easily (thanks Tyler). Everything arrived as and when promised. Fit and finish are great. I use this with a Kammock Outpost stand it they pair together great. I got the Safari version and it is really comfortable. Now I am a big fan of Haven.

A group of friends and I spend a week in Killarney Park in Ontario Canada every year. Two of us have upgraded the normal hammocks to Haven. One spectre and for me the safari. I had an eno split on me a couple years ago so the heavy weight option was attractive. I’ve not had a better and more comfortable trailside sleep since I was too young to care of think about. I’m all in for the Haven Tents. Now that they are making the upgraded larger rain fly I think I’m going to buy that too.

I purchased the Safari for motorcycle camping and it fits nicely into my gear. Just did my first 3 day trip and it performed perfectly. First night had some rain and kept everything totally dry. Second night was clear so I slept under the stars with the fly off. I could never sleep in a regular hammock but the Haven allows me to sleep on my side or stomach which made all the difference. I slept like a baby. When I ordered the hammock I was not able to choose the full accessory kit so I settled for the lessor option. I then called Haven and Tyler answered apologized and said the pad cover was out of stock and that is why it wouldn't let me choose the full kit. The package took a couple extra days to arrive and when it did Tyler had included the full accessory kit including the pad cover at no extra charge. Great product and greay customer service.

I’m so glad I got the Haven Safari! It feels really durable, was super cozy at 12C with a winter sleeping bag, and had tons of space for my things. I do find the incliner part doesn’t function as well as I expected, but is still a nice feature. There was a blackbear warning at my campsite and I felt much better knowing a bear couldn’t walk up and press its snout up against me. My friend who slept in a regular hammock was a little spooked that a bear might sniff her butt. 😅 Looking forward to many more adventures with this hammock tent!

After 1 year traveling with this tent 365 days a year. I think I need tho buy I new one! It's really horse proof for 1 year. And they really scratch them self on my haven tent safari every day. But today it's whas the final destination for my tent. It whas to match horse power! No I need tho safe mony for a new one.😂🤭🌄🔥💥⚡👣❤️

6'1" 220lb 44 year old person with a new hip and disc in back and many other issues. It was a great night sleep outdoors. Dreamy even. Better than most indoor beds for sure. Just had to get over my claustrophobia even tho there's plenty of room. Very warm all buttoned up. Nice n breezy all open.

I think this photo say it all for us....Love the tent hammocks and the systems to hang 'em with....I have been using my Safari for 4-5 years now. The new light weight is a big hit with My Outdoor Daughter. She liked mine so much that when she would come to visit, she requested the Haven to sleep in, and since she is an avid hiker she just bought the lite weight one this year, shipping it form Iowa to Oregon so she would have it for our 10 day adventure into the Oregon Owyhee Canyonland country....Also purchased the Yobo stand and it worked flawlessly(we did anchor it down due to some high winds and it never moved)....me I have been using the Bare Bones XL Hammock Mount and haven't used a tree in years....Yep....I would say we are sold on Havens....even wear their very cool hats! More comfortable than my bed...!!

I’ve been camping with a hammock for the last ten years. It’s why I can still go camping at 70 because i don’t sleep on the ground anymore. I started with the Ridgeline then moved to the REI quarter dome which was a better system. I would still be using it but the bug net ripped and REI discontinued it. Enter the Haven Safari, it’s awesome. Easier than the REI to setup. More comfortable than both and very well made. At 12 pounds I won’t be backpacking with it, but at my age I’m just car camping anyway.

This was a replacement for the piece of junk Spectre that I bought on their Kickstarter. A massive improvement! The only issue I have is the ridgeline is loose and floppy once the tent is set up, which I don’t understand. This makes the bug net loose and floppy as well, and when it’s really windy, even in storm mode, the fly and bug net get pushed way into the sleeping space, it’s super annoying and I can imagine condensation will leave me soaked if it’s rainy as well as windy. That test remains to be seen, though. That and at only 40 degrees I had cold butt syndrome, even with the purported 5.3 r-value pad (no way it’s 5.3, sorry). Disappointing when my Amok hammock takes me down well below freezing no problem, toasty warm. Not as easy to get in and out of, though! 😂 Overall I’m happy with the Safari, though. And it’s a huge improvement over that Spectre garbage! 💩

I’m 6’5, 230 and fit in this hammock with plenty of room to stretch out straight and not have to bend my knees. I brought it out for the first trip last weekend and man what a breeze to setup and take down. I haven’t slept this good camping in a long time finally not folded like a banana. All i can say is if you are contemplating buying one and love hammock sleeping do yourself a favor and pull the trigger you won’t be disappointed.

This tent is an absolute lifesaver. In subzero temperatures, it was no big deal to sleep in my sleeping bag and have one of the best nights Of sleep ever!

By far the best sleep I've had on a campout in years. I wasn't sure how I felt about a hammock tent until the wind gently rocked me to sleep. As a bonus, my kids are jealous of Dad's cool new tent.

Took the wife out on a day trip, just to get acquainted with the set up and break down. She was amazed at ease of set up, and didn’t want to get out of it! We will be doing a lot of overnight kayak\fishing trips, as soon as the boys high school baseball season comes to an end.

Best sleep I’ve gotten camping in ages! Had camped in 30 ish degree weather right before Christmas, the insulated pad and pad cover helped to keep me nice and cozy. Set up and breakdown were easy. It packs away really well. Camped a second time in warmer weather 60ish and had another great hang out in the wild. Can’t speak highly enough of my safari and can’t wait to have more adventures with it

The best sleep I’ve ever had in a tent. I’ve had two back surgeries and I love to go camping. Traditional tents are out of the question. This tent is amazing. From the mountains to overlooking the ocean this thing is incredible. I’ve slept in this in crazy winds and you don’t even feel it when in storm mode. The only thing that has happened is the little bungy things that hold the center stretched out but were still holding on in that crazy windy night. I reached out to Haven tent and they said they are working on a better design and would warranty it when that time comes. Thanks Haven Tent for the Safari and for the best night sleep. Also pair this with the Zenbivy sleep system and you have something that will amaze you and keep you comfortable in all types of weather and temperatures. I tell all my friends and I even displayed it at a show I was at. Thanks again Haven Tent

I do a lot of airplane camping and the Haven Tent is the perfect sleeping system to take along. The YOBOgear hammock stand is my "go to" stand when I have nothing to tie off to. I absolutely love the Haven tent system.

First hang was more like a first swing. 30 mph wind gusts and a low of 17 degrees here in Michigan. A little more blankets than usual but the tent held up great. Easy in easy out. I got the works bundle with it and everything worked great. Originally, I woke up at 2 am to purchase it and the sale wasn’t applying. However, after an email, we spoke with the owner himself and got our sale. Tip top customer service.

Hunkered down for a few nights at a friend's place. I see the extra quality made in the build. Got my new pad for my XL. Unfortunately the stitching tore loose on the XL. Tried to fix and patch to no avail. So I decided to go with Safari XL. I like the overall heavy duty feel. First impressions are that I made the right choice. Downright grateful. My husband loves to camp but I’m always exhausted from not sleeping well. Last night was first night in Haven tent and it was the BEST, even with chilly autumn night. Finally enjoying a happy camping morning!!! Thank you! We’re camping in sweet spot on shore of Seneca Lake, NY. And yes… our 4 rescue parrots come along. I bought a haven safari xl last November. Didn't get to use it for the first time till June of this year. Best sleep i have had in a hammock. I'm a side sleeper so this was a great change for me. Plus I'm 50 and have had back problems. Thevthird time I used it in my back yard I woke up at 3am getting bitten by mosquitoes. Thatvwas when I realized I had a tear along the bottom seam. Not sure how it happened. Nothing sharp in the hammock nothing around on ground for it to catch on. Now up to this point I'm loving this product. So I took pictures and contacted Haven about what happened. This is the icing on the cake. They contacted me back same day with information to process return. This was a simple process and I attached pictures. The next day i got an email stating my return was approved and getting ready for shipping. I recieved brand new product in less than a week. This is the part that blew me away. Haven said I did not need to return the damaged product and I thought they would just send me a new hammock. They sent the whole hammock package which includes hammock, rain fly, spreader bars, straps, ground cloth for under hammock, and storage bag. I have never had a company provide this kind of service. I have already recommended this company to family and friends. I'm letting anyone I camp with try it out. I also have their string lights and those are a lightwieght and great investment for the price. I will most definitely continue purchasing gear from this company. And if your on the fence about buying due to cost i was too for about a year until I saw a couple utube videos by trusted utubers and that got me to try Haven tents. I'm glad I did. I highly recommend this company and their products. Sorry so long.

I had my Haven tent in the middle of the Peruvian Amazon. My team all used hammock style tents however, I had the only Haven and it out performed them all. I couldn't be happier with my purchase!
