Yes! Haven tents are designed to suspend you mid-air and mirror the flatness of a regular bed.
What’s the weight capacity?
The capacity for both the standard Haven Tent and the Haven XL is 285 lb or 129 kg.
Can I use my own sleeping pad?
You can, but we don’t recommend it. Our Insulated Pad is a structural part of the lay-flat design — it fits the frame exactly, and its horizontal bevels push out against the sides so you aren’t wrapped up like a burrito. A third-party pad that doesn’t fit can slide around and keep the tent from working as intended.
Yes. The tent body carries a 4,000mm waterproof rating, and the included rainfly is rated to 4,000mm as well.

Bought the Haven XL second. Buying a “second” is a great way to save some money and get a great Haven hammock.
I’ve got a 24’ RV trailer but I love this hammock! It’s more comfortable than the bed in my camper!
I used if for a week in September up on the “rim”’in AZ recently and we had some serous thunderstorms and it remained bone dry! I’m 6’4” 205 lbs and the Haven was more than big enough for me. The XL insulated pad is super comfortable! It held air for 9 days and I never needed to add more air to it. I’ll use this hammock for weekend trips when I don’t want to spend the money on diesel to pull my camper. Highly recommend this! Customer service is awesome.
Great experience with my new (to me) Haven Tent XL. Slept in below freezing temps and had no issues. Highly recommend watching Haven Tent videos on managing condensation and storing your haven tent with tarp. Excited to experience more with my Haven Tent.
Being that this was my first time setting it up, it took longer for me to figure things out than I had expected. But now that I have used it, I'm sure it will be smoother next time.
The zipper did make me nervous because it seemed under a lot of pressure while I was in the tent. So, when zipping or unzipping, I fear that it may miss a couple of teeth at some point.
But, I do believe this is a great way to sleep outdoors!
Truly a step up from traditional hammock camping. It was super windy and wet my first night yet I was warm and dry inside my Haven. I love how versatile it is with all the mountain points so I was able to anchor down and not sway at all
I've been shopping for a hammock tent for several years. Did my research and love the concept of a flat lay hammock since i tend to be a side sleeper. I finally picked the Haven system i wanted and purchased. Camped in it the next weekend and absolutely love this tent. I slept on my back for over 5 hours solid and never woke up. Very unusual for me. Best sleep i have had camping and the system is so easy to set up and use. Tons of storage pockets and room to put gear and such. I had my entire backpacking pack clipped inside with me the whole night and no issues. If you want to sleep off the ground, get this hammock tent!
I discovered Haven tents on YouTube and was glad to see that the suggested improvements from reviewers were implemented. The two way zippers, inside storage pockets, and the under boot hammock are great improvements from the original design. Going from standard hammocks to the Haven XL is the best upgrade to camping I made in 10 years. Can’t wait to use it this winter.
I think the system would work well. When I placed the order the photos showed it with the rain fly and sleep pad. When I received the order it had neither. I have tried to contact customer service multiplied time by email and phone with no response. If I was able to get all the items to make the system work I think it would be a great product. Why sell a item with out parts need to make it work.
It has since flaws with the zipper but it sets up quickly. And sleeps pretty darn good. I imagine it will be better the more experience I have with it getting it just right. Plus I just ordered the true level pad and whoopie slings so it's going to get even better
